Upsells

Upsells is a cross-selling tool built into every event. After a buyer completes a purchase, a full-screen offer appears with a countdown timer — a personalized discount to buy tickets for another event, with all their data pre-filled. They just pick tickets and pay.

Why use Upsells?

  • Cross-promote events — Buyers of Event A get exclusive offers for Event B
  • Personalized experience — Each offer greets the buyer by name
  • High conversion timing — Offers appear right after purchase when buyers are most engaged
  • Increase revenue — Turn single-event buyers into multi-event customers

How buyers experience it

  1. Buyer completes purchase for a source event
  2. 3 seconds later, a full-screen modal appears with a countdown timer
  3. Carousel of target events shows discount percentages
  4. Buyer clicks an event → redirected to checkout with their data already saved
  5. Just select tickets and pay — done in seconds

Two offer directions

You can configure offers in two complementary directions:

DirectionWhat it means
Reward buyers of this eventAfter someone buys tickets for this event, they see a discount offer for other events
Promote this event in othersAfter someone buys tickets for other events, they see a discount offer for this event

Both directions can be active simultaneously for the same event.

Where to configure

Option 1 — During event creation (wizard)

The Create Event wizard includes an optional "Boost cross-sells" step between tickets and publishing. You can configure one direction and set it up before the event goes live.

This step only appears if the Upsells module is enabled for your account.

Option 2 — From the event detail page

Open any event and navigate to the Offers tab. From here you can create, edit, activate/deactivate, and delete offers — for both directions — at any time.

Only Owners and Administrators can create and manage upsell offers.
