Marketing overview
Need to email the buyers of a specific event? Marketing is not the right place for that. If you want to send a message to everyone who bought a ticket for one of your events — for example, to share logistics, a change of venue, or any event-specific update — go to Events → [your event] → Communications → Send email. That tab is designed exactly for that use case and lets you target buyers of a specific event date directly.
Marketing is for promotional campaigns: reaching your whole contact list or broad audience segments to drive new ticket sales or re-engage past buyers. If the event hasn't happened yet and you just need to talk to the people who already bought, use Communications inside the event.
The Marketing menu is Fanz's built-in email marketing hub. Send promotional emails to past buyers or imported contacts, track every open, click, and purchase, and let our AI bot automatically re-engage your audience.

Initial setup
When you first access the Marketing tab, a setup wizard guides you through everything you need to start sending — including domain and sender configuration — without leaving the wizard or being redirected to separate screens.
Step 1: Welcome to Marketing!
The wizard opens with an introduction to the Marketing hub. You'll see a summary of what's available: "Grow ticket sales by creating email campaigns, or enable Fanzly to automatically re-engage past buyers with AI. Track opens, clicks, conversion rates, and revenue. To begin, you must first connect a sender email address."
Step 2: Connect sender emails
Directly within the wizard, you'll add and verify the email address you want to send campaigns from. There's no redirect to a separate settings screen — domain and sender configuration happen inline as part of this step.
Requirements:
- Must be a corporate email (e.g., marketing@yourbrand.com)
- Gmail, Hotmail, and other free email providers are not accepted (they have high spam rates)
Verification process:
- Enter your corporate email address and click Add email
- Check your inbox for a verification email from Amazon (Fanz uses AWS SES)
- Click the verification link in that email
- Return to the wizard — your sender email will show as verified
Why corporate emails? Emails sent from free providers (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) have significantly higher spam rates. Using your own domain (like @yourcompany.com) improves deliverability and protects your sender reputation.
Don't skip verification: Once you've added your email address you need to check your inbox for a verification email from Amazon. Click the link to confirm — otherwise, your campaigns won't be sent.
Step 3: You're ready to reach your audience
Once at least one sender email is verified, the wizard completes inline and shows a summary: "You're ready to reach your audience. Here's what you can do..." You can then go straight into creating campaigns, setting up Fanzly, or exploring the other tabs.
Menu structure
After setup, the Marketing tab has these sections:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Email campaigns | Create and manage email campaigns |
| Flows | Build and manage automated email sequences |
| Analytics | View performance metrics for all campaigns |
| Segments | Create audience segments for targeted campaigns |
| Contacts | Manage your contact database |
| Fanzly | Configure the AI remarketing bot |
| Email settings | Manage sender emails and limits |
Permissions
Only Owners and Administrators can access the Marketing menu.
Daily sending limits
Each verified sender email allows you to send 2,000 emails per day. Add more sender emails to increase your limit.
| Verified emails | Daily limit |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2,000 |
| 2 | 4,000 |
| 5 | 10,000 |
Good news: Email sending in Fanz is completely free and included in your plan.
