Sell menu
The Sell menu is where your box office team processes all in-person transactions: selling tickets, creating reservations, and sending courtesies.
Who can access this menu
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to all tabs |
| Administrator | Full access to all tabs |
| Producer | Access to assigned events only |
| Seller | Sell and Reserve tabs for assigned events |
Note: Producers and Sellers must have the event assigned to them to see it in the Sell menu.
Available tabs
The Sell menu has 3 tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Sell | Process immediate ticket sales with payment |
| Reserve | Hold tickets for later payment/pickup |
| Send courtesies | Send free tickets to specific people |
Common workflow
All three tabs follow a similar workflow:
- Select event from the dropdown
- Select date (auto-selected if only one date)
- Choose tickets (or seats for numbered events)
- Enter buyer information (optional in some cases)
- Process the transaction
Transaction history
Below each interface, you see a history of your transactions for the selected event. This lets you:
- Review what you've sold/reserved/sent
- Edit payment methods if needed
- Cancel transactions if necessary
This table only shows your own transactions, not the entire team's.
Closing the ticket office
At the top right of the Sell tab, there's a red "Close Ticket Office" button. This creates a reconciliation report for your shift.
See Ticket office closings for details.
Best practices
Ask for email when possible
Collecting buyer emails:
- Adds contacts to your database
- Enables future marketing
- Sends tickets automatically to buyers
- Creates recurrent customer opportunities
Prioritize speed during rush
When queues are long:
- Use Free printing mode (Sell tab)
- Skip optional fields
- Focus on getting people in quickly
Use reservations for VIPs
For guests who will pay at the venue:
- Create a reservation with their name
- They pick up and pay at the box office
- Tickets are held until they arrive

The event might be cancelled, deleted, or already ended. Only active future events appear. If you're a Producer or Seller, check that the event is assigned to you.
No. Once an event date has passed, it no longer appears in the Sell menu.
It's not mandatory, but highly recommended for accountability and cash reconciliation. See Ticket office closings.
