Invitation links

Invitation links let you add members to your team easily: create a link with roles and permissions, share it, and when the person enters they're automatically in your brand.

From the Fanz dashboard, go to Team → Invitation links.

  1. Click "Create invitation link" (top right)
  2. A creation modal opens with the following fields:

Invitations quantity

How many people can use this link to join your brand. Minimum: 1, maximum: 100.

ExampleResult
1Only one person can join
1010 people can join with the same link
5050 people can join

Use case: If you need to invite 30 RRPPs or 20 validators, create a single link with 30 or 20 uses and share it with everyone. You don't need to create one link per person.

Role selection

Choose one or more roles for people who join with this link.

Combination rules:

  • If you select Owner or Administrator, other selections are cleared (they already have full access)
  • Producer can only be combined with Membership Admin
  • Other roles (RRPP, Seller, Validator, Analyst, Membership Admin) can be combined with each other

To understand each role, see Available roles.

Custom permissions

If you selected the Custom role, two additional steps appear: choosing a data access scope and configuring granular permissions.

Step 1: Data access scope

A Data access radio group appears right after selecting the Custom role:

OptionEffect
Only assignedThe member only sees events and memberships you explicitly assign to them
All dataThe member sees all events and memberships in the brand with no restrictions

Choose "Only assigned" when you want to limit the member to specific events or memberships. Choose "All data" when the member should have visibility across everything in the brand.

Step 2: Configure permissions

Click "Edit Permissions" to open the permissions editor — a full-page view with every section of the platform in a grid:

  • Use the Read / Write checkboxes to toggle access for each section and sub-tab
  • Click the arrow next to a section to expand it and configure individual sub-tabs
  • Sections modified from their defaults are highlighted in blue; a badge counter shows how many have changed
  • Use the Read / Write header checkboxes to select or deselect all sections at once
  • Click Reset to restore all permissions to the Custom defaults (all off)
  • Click Done to return to the main form

For the full list of configurable sections, sub-tabs, and permission rules, see Available roles → Custom.

Event assignment

This selector appears when:

  • You selected Producer, RRPP, Seller, Validator, or Analyst; OR
  • You selected Custom with Data access set to "Only assigned"

To assign events:

  1. Click "Select events"
  2. A searchable list of active events appears
  3. Click each event to select or deselect it
  4. Available options:
    • Search bar: Find specific events by name
    • Select all: Assign all events at once
    • Clear selection: Deselect everything
  5. Click Done when finished

Membership assignment

This selector appears when:

  • You selected Membership Administrator; OR
  • You selected Custom with Data access set to "Only assigned"

To assign memberships:

  1. Click "Select memberships"
  2. A list of active membership plans appears
  3. Select the plans you want to assign

Membership types

If membership types are configured in your brand and memberships have been assigned, a Membership types selector also appears. Use it to optionally filter which membership types the member can access.

Once all fields are completed, click "Create".

The link is generated and appears in the invitation links table.

In the links table, click the link or the copy icon to copy it to your clipboard.

Share the link with the people you want to invite. The process for them is:

  1. Open the link in their browser
  2. Create a Fanz account or sign in with Google
  3. They're automatically inside your brand with the configured roles and assignments

Important: The link is for joining once. Once they're members, they log into Fanz normally with their account. They don't need the link again.

The table shows all created links with the following information:

ColumnDescription
RolesRoles assigned to the link
EventsChip with event count (click to see which)
MembershipsChip with membership count (click to see which)
LinkThe full link (click to copy)
Use limitConfigured maximum uses
UsesNumber of people who already joined with this link
StateActive or Inactive

Each link has a more options menu (three dots) with the following actions:

View

Opens a read-only detail panel showing:

  • The full invitation link URL (with copy button)
  • Current status (Active / Inactive)
  • Use limit and role(s) assigned
  • Assigned events and memberships (as chips)
  • A scrollable list of everyone who has joined using this link, with their name and email

Edit

Modify the link:

  • Change number of uses
  • Change roles
  • Change assigned events/memberships

Deactivate

The link stops working. People who try to use it won't be able to join.

Useful when:

  • You don't want more people to join with that link
  • You want to temporarily pause invitations

You can reactivate the link later if needed.

Delete

Permanently removes the link. This action cannot be undone.

Next steps

  1. Manage existing members
  2. Learn about roles in detail

It's the number of people who joined your brand using that link. If you created a link with a limit of 10 and it has 3 uses, it means 3 people joined and 7 spots remain.

No. The invitation link is only for joining the brand the first time. Once they're members, they log into Fanz normally with their account and they're already inside your brand.

No, you always need to specify a number. But you can set a high number if you want many people to be able to use it.

The link stops working automatically. People who try to use it will see a message that the link is no longer valid. You can create a new link or edit the existing one to increase the limit.

Yes. In the link's "View" action you can see the list of people who joined using that specific link.

No, you can create as many invitation links as you need.

Yes, you can edit the link and change the roles. Changes only affect people who use the link after the edit, not those who already joined.

No. When editing a link, the use limit cannot be set lower than the number of people who have already joined with it. You can only increase the limit or keep it as is.

With "Only assigned", people who join via the link will only see the events and memberships explicitly assigned to the link. With "All data", they'll have visibility into every event and membership in the brand (still limited by the configured section permissions).

No. When scope is "All data", the event and membership selectors are hidden — the member inherits access to everything automatically.
