Section product tour

In many dashboard areas, Fanz offers a guided tour the first time you land there in a session: welcome messaging, spotlights on the UI, and a closing step with Fanzly so you can ask questions in context.

When it appears

  • First visit in the session — If you haven't completed that section's tour in this browser session, it opens on entry.
  • Replay — On Home, next to the greeting, there is a help button to restart the home tour. Other sections may expose the same pattern to restart the walkthrough.

When you finish or skip, the tour is marked for that session and won't auto-show again until a new browser session or you use replay.

State is stored in sessionStorage (per tab/session), not on your account: another tab or cleared site data can make the tour offer again.

Typical tour structure

  1. Welcome — Fullscreen or modal intro for the section.
  2. Video — An embedded help video to illustrate the section's key features. Tours for Events, Reports, Customer Service, Ticket Validation, and RRPP Profile include video content.
  3. Spotlight steps — The tour highlights specific UI (headers, tables, actions) and advances with Next.
  4. Fanzly — Opens the assistant panel with a suggested prompt tied to the section. After you send a message, the tour may close automatically.

Mock data in tour steps

For sections where you may not yet have real data, tour steps are populated with realistic mock data so every step in the walkthrough is fully illustrated. This means you can understand what each part of the dashboard does even before you've created your first event or received your first order.

During the Home tour, the UI may show all blocks as examples so every step always has a visible anchor.

Next steps

  1. Dashboard home — What the home page shows.
  2. Fanzly — Assistant and conversations.

No — it's an in-context intro. For deep dives, use the help center and topic guides.

In tour mode, Home may use demo data and render all blocks so every step has a stable target. In normal use you only see what your brand and role allow.

Yes. Tours for Events, Reports, Customer Service, Ticket Validation, and RRPP Profile use realistic mock data to populate every step, so the walkthrough is fully illustrated even without real organizer data.
