Event discounts for members

Give your members automatic discounts when buying event tickets. No codes needed — discounts apply based on their email.

Accessing discounts

Go to Memberships → Discounts for events.

Creating a discount

Click Create discount in the top right.

Discount settings

FieldDescription
NameReference name for the discount
Membership plansSelect which plans get this discount (multi-select)
Apply toAll events or only selected categories
Discount amountPercentage from 1% to 100% (100% = free tickets)
Maximum orderMax tickets the discount applies to per purchase

Event categories

If you choose "Only selected categories":

  • Select which event categories qualify for the discount
  • Events must have these categories assigned for the discount to work

How discounts work

When a member buys tickets:

  1. They go to checkout normally
  2. Enter their email (same one used for membership)
  3. System detects: "Membership plan detected" with star icon
  4. Discount applies automatically to eligible tickets
  5. Maximum order limit enforced

One event at a time

Members can only have discounted tickets for one event at a time.

If they already have tickets with a membership discount, they must wait for that event to end before getting another discount.

Discounts table

All discounts appear in a searchable table:

Discount actions

Edit

Modify any aspect of the discount:

  • Name
  • Membership plans
  • Event categories
  • Discount percentage
  • Maximum order

Changes apply to future purchases.

Deactivate

Stops the discount from working:

  • Keeps usage data
  • Can be reactivated later
  • Existing tickets keep their discount

Delete

Permanently removes the discount:

  • Loses all usage data
  • Cannot be undone
  • Existing tickets keep their discount

Member-only events

You can create events that only members can purchase — non-members won't even be able to select tickets.

How to enable

When creating an event:

  1. In Step 1 of event creation, find the "Advanced configuration" card
  2. Enable "Members only"

For existing events:

  1. Go to Events → select the event
  2. Click Edit
  3. Go to Checkout configuration
  4. Toggle the "Members only" switch

Note: This option only appears if you have active membership plans in your brand.

How it works

  • Only members with a discount for this event can purchase
  • Non-members see the event but cannot select tickets
  • Combine with a 100% discount for completely free member events

Best practices

Tiered discounts

Create different discounts for different membership tiers:

PlanDiscount
Basic10% off
Premium25% off
VIP50% off

Category-specific discounts

Target discounts to relevant events:

  • "Theater Lovers" plan → only theater category
  • "Festival Pass" plan → only festival category

Free tickets (100% off)

For exclusive member events:

  • Create events in a "Members Only" category
  • Create 100% discount for that category
  • Only members can get free tickets

No. The discount applies automatically when they enter their membership email during checkout.

The best applicable discount is applied. The system chooses the highest discount they qualify for.

Yes. Use the "Maximum order" field to limit tickets per purchase. The "one event at a time" rule also prevents overuse.

Only future purchases are affected. Existing tickets keep their original discount.

No. Membership discounts only apply to event tickets, not add-ons.

Enable "Members only" in the event settings, and create a 100% discount for that event's category. Only members can access, and they get free tickets.

This option only appears if you have at least one active membership plan. Create a plan first in Memberships → Plans.
