Key metrics

Four main cards show your performance:

Total revenue

Total income from all months combined, shown in your currency.

How to use it:

  • Track overall business value
  • Compare month-over-month growth
  • Report to stakeholders

Monthly recurring revenue (MRR)

Current monthly revenue based on active members.

How to use it:

  • Predict future income
  • Track business health
  • MRR × 12 = Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)

Good signs:

  • Steady or growing MRR
  • MRR higher than previous months

Warning signs:

  • Declining MRR
  • MRR dropping despite new signups (high churn)

Memberships

Total membership count with breakdown:

  • Card icon = automatic payments (Mercado Pago/Stripe)
  • Arrow icon = manual uploads

Click the blue chevron for detailed breakdown:

StatusMeaning
ActiveCurrently paying members
ExpiredPayment failed, waiting for resolution
PausedTemporarily suspended
CancelledPermanently ended
PendingInitial payment processing

How to use it:

  • Compare active vs. churned members
  • Track manual vs. automatic ratio
  • Identify status distribution problems

This month

Shows two key numbers:

  • New inscriptions this month
  • Cancellations this month

How to use it:

  • Net growth = New inscriptions - Cancellations
  • Positive = growing, Negative = shrinking
  • Track month-over-month trends

Revenue chart

A line graph showing earnings over time.

  • X-axis: 1st of each month
  • Y-axis: Changeable metric (see below)

Y-axis options

Toggle between:

  • Net earnings — Revenue after processor fees
  • Gross earnings — Revenue before fees
  • Memberships sold — New subscriptions
  • Cancelled memberships — Churn

Calculating key rates

Churn rate:

Monthly churn = Cancellations ÷ Active members at month start × 100
  • Below 5% = Good
  • 5-10% = Average
  • Above 10% = Needs attention

Growth rate:

Monthly growth = (New inscriptions - Cancellations) ÷ Active members × 100
  • Positive = Growing
  • Zero = Stable
  • Negative = Shrinking

Best practices

Review weekly

  • Check MRR and active member count
  • Identify any sudden changes
  • Investigate payment failures

Review monthly

  • Compare to previous months
  • Calculate churn and growth rates
  • Plan improvements based on trends

Focus on retention

Keeping existing members is cheaper than acquiring new ones:

  • Follow up on paused/expired members
  • Fix payment issues quickly
  • Deliver consistent value

Gross is the full payment amount. Net is what you receive after Mercado Pago/Stripe fees and taxes are deducted.

Total revenue is all-time cumulative. MRR is only from currently active members' monthly payments.

The member signed up but their initial payment is still processing. With Mercado Pago, this can take 1-2 hours.

Survey members about their needs, improve benefits, ensure payment methods work, and communicate value regularly.

Focus on net earnings for actual business planning. That's what you actually receive.
