Ticket designs

Create fully customized PDF designs for your tickets. Your logo, your colors, your sponsors, your data. All with a visual builder that shows results in real-time.

Accessing the designer

From the Fanz dashboard, go to Website → Ticket Designs to see your existing designs or create a new one.

Why create a custom design?

Fanz already has default designs that work perfectly, but creating your own design has several advantages:

  • Professional branding — Your logo and colors on every ticket reinforce your brand
  • Sponsor revenue — Sell space on your tickets to sponsors
  • Differentiation — Stand out from competition with unique tickets
  • Premium experience — Custom tickets give a quality feel
  • Visual consistency — Match your tickets with your website and communications
  • Specific information — Add relevant data for your venue (parking, instructions, etc.)
  • Collectible memories — For special events, attendees may want to keep their tickets

Creating a design

Step 1: Start creation

Click the "Create design" button to open the initial configuration modal.

Step 2: Configure name and format

Design name: For internal reference only. Helps you identify the design later (e.g., "Theater Design 2024", "Tickets with Coca-Cola Sponsor"). Not displayed anywhere.

Format: Choose the ticket size:

FormatDimensionsIdeal for
Roll176 × 329 mmOnline tickets, large centered QR, vertical design
Card467 × 141 mmPremium card-style tickets, large concerts, horizontal design
CustomCustomizableDefine exact width and height in pixels for specific needs

Step 3: Choose starting point

You have two options:

  1. Create from scratch — Start with an empty canvas
  2. Use a template — Pre-designed Fanz templates (one for Roll, one for Card) that you can modify

Tip: If it's your first design, we recommend using a template and modifying it. You'll learn the builder faster.

The ticket builder

When you choose to create or use a template, the visual builder opens. Here you'll design your ticket by dragging blocks and seeing results in real-time.

  • Center: Canvas in the size you chose. Here you see the ticket and can add, move, and resize blocks

Assigning design to tickets

Designs are assigned per ticket, not per event. This allows you to have different designs for different ticket types within the same event (for example, one design for VIP and another for General).

Note: The option to select a ticket design only appears if you have at least one design created. If you don't see this option, it's because you haven't created any custom designs yet.

Option 1: During event creation

When you're creating an event and reach the create tickets step:

  1. When creating the first ticket, select the design you want to use
  2. All tickets you add after will have that same design as default
  3. You can change each ticket's design individually if you want to use different designs

Option 2: After creating the event

If you've already created the event and want to change a ticket's design:

  1. Go to Events and select the event
  2. Navigate to the Tickets tab
  3. Find the ticket you want to modify and click the 3 dots (options menu)
  4. Select Edit
  5. Choose the ticket design you want to use
  6. You can click Preview to see how it looks with that specific ticket's data
  7. You can also download the PDF to view or print it

Tip: The design marked as default in your designs list is automatically selected when you create new tickets.

Next steps

  1. Configure social proof
  2. Customize site branding

No. Fanz has default designs that are used automatically. Creating a custom design is optional but recommended if you want to professionalize your brand.

No. Tickets already generated keep the design they had at the time of purchase. Changes only apply to future purchases.

Yes. You can create multiple designs and assign a different one to each ticket type. Even within the same event, you can have one design for VIP tickets and another for General, for example.

Use the Image block with "Custom image" source and upload the sponsor's logo. You can add as many images as you need.

Roll is ideal for digital tickets scanned from phones (large, visible QR). Card is better for premium printed tickets that attendees want to keep. Custom for specific needs.

Yes. Design your ticket in Canva with the exact size, export it as an image, and use it as a background image in settings. Then just add the QR code and dynamic texts on top.

Each ticket has a unique QR code that's validated at the door. Having multiple QRs would cause confusion and validation problems.

Currently, Fanz tickets are not compatible with Apple Wallet. Buyers receive their ticket in PDF format which they can save on their phone or print.

Tickets that had that design will use Fanz's default design instead. Already generated and sold tickets are not affected.

Yes. Use the Preview button in the builder to generate a real PDF with sample data. You can download and print it to test.
