AI Website Builder

Generate and edit your site pages using natural language. Describe what you want — the AI builds it for you in seconds.


What is it?

The AI Website Builder lets you create and edit any page on your Fanz site by chatting with an assistant. Instead of manually placing blocks, you just describe the result you want:

"Create a dark contact page with a form, a map, and our email address."

The AI generates the full page HTML and shows you a live preview. You can then refine it with follow-up messages until it looks exactly right.


Accessing the AI builder

  1. From the dashboard, go to Website
  2. In the left sidebar, click on any page (Homepage or a custom page)
  3. Click the "AI Assistant" button in the top bar of the browser preview

The screen splits into two panels:

  • Left: the AI chat where you write prompts
  • Right: the live preview of the page being generated

Creating your first page

When you open the assistant for the first time on a page, you'll see the welcome screen. Type a prompt describing what you want and press Send (or press Enter).

Example prompts:

  • "Create a homepage for a music venue with a hero, featured events, and a contact section"
  • "Build an About Us page with our team, our story, and a gallery of past events"
  • "Make a dark, minimal contact page with a form and our business hours"

Tip: The more detail you give (brand tone, colors, content), the better the result. You can always refine with follow-up messages.


Attaching images

You can attach images to your prompts to give the AI visual context:

  • Click the image icon in the composer
  • Or paste an image directly into the text field
  • Or use the crop/screenshot tool (camera icon) to capture part of the current preview

Images are helpful for:

  • Showing a style or layout reference
  • Pointing to a specific section you want to change
  • Uploading your logo or brand assets

Limits: up to 4 images per message, max 5 MB each.


Voice dictation

Click the microphone icon in the composer to dictate your prompt instead of typing. The text is transcribed automatically and added to the message field, where you can edit it before sending.


Model selector

You can choose which AI model to use from the composer toolbar (Auto / Fast / Balanced / Best). The selection is saved per brand.

  • Auto — default smart routing; the system picks the best model for your request
  • Fast — fastest responses, lower cost; best for quick edits
  • Balanced — balanced speed and quality; recommended for most use cases
  • Best — highest quality, slower; recommended for complex layouts and detailed redesigns

Editing with the AI

Once a page is generated, you can continue editing through the chat:

  • "Make the hero section taller and move the CTA button to the center"
  • "Change the color scheme to match our brand colors"
  • "Add a testimonials section between the gallery and the footer"

Inspect mode

Use the inspect cursor (crosshair icon in the toolbar) to click on any element in the preview. Selecting a block automatically includes it in your next prompt so the AI knows exactly what to edit.


Version history

Every generation is saved as a version. To access the history:

  1. Click the clock icon in the chat header
  2. The history panel shows all versions with timestamps and the prompt that created them
  3. Click a version to preview it (the preview shows your live homepage and you can click the navbar to browse other pages)
  4. Click Restore this version to roll back to that version

The current version is marked CURRENT in the list.


Multi-page generation

When working on a site with multiple pages, you can ask the AI to generate or update them together:

  • "Create a 3-page site: Home, About, and Contact"

The AI will generate each page in sequence. A progress checklist appears at the top of the chat showing the status of each page.


Usage limits

The AI builder has internal usage limits per brand to ensure fair access for everyone. When a brand is approaching the limit, a warning notice appears at the top of the assistant. When the limit is reached, generation is paused and a support link is shown.

If you see a limit notice, contact Fanz support to review your plan.

No. Both exist and serve different purposes. The AI builder creates and edits pages through natural language — great for creating pages from scratch quickly or making broad changes. The manual page builder (block editor) is still available for granular block-level control.

Yes. The AI builder is available for the homepage and all custom pages. Open the page from the sidebar and click the AI Assistant button in the preview toolbar.

Just keep chatting. Send a follow-up message describing what you want to change. If you want to go back to a previous version entirely, open the version history (clock icon) and restore an older version.

Yes. Changes from the AI builder are reflected on the page, and you can open the manual page builder at any time to fine-tune individual blocks.

No. The AI builds and updates the draft of your page. You still need to publish it manually from the sidebar or the preview toolbar — the same as with the manual builder.

Yes. You can paste an image, use the image icon to upload one, or use the screenshot/crop tool to capture a section of the current preview. You can attach up to 4 images per message (max 5 MB each). Images help the AI understand your reference or desired style.

It lets you choose which AI model processes your request: Auto (smart routing), Fast (fastest, lower cost), Balanced (recommended for most uses), or Best (highest quality, slower). The choice is saved per brand. For complex layouts or detailed redesigns, Best tends to give the most thorough results.

Each brand has an internal AI usage cap to ensure fair access. If you get close to the limit, a warning appears. If you reach it, generation is paused until support resets or adjusts your plan. Contact Fanz support if this happens.
