Segments, Flows & External Events Improvements
Segments, Flows & External Events Improvements
We updated several parts of the marketing workflow to make send counts clearer, email testing easier, and external events manageable from the main events grid.
📬 Segments and real send counts
Segments still show suppressed contacts so visible audience counts stay consistent, but the campaign form now shows the real net total that will actually be sent.
That total automatically excludes:
- Unsubscribed contacts
- Spam complaints
- Bounced addresses
Also, recipients blocked by spam complaints can no longer be selected when creating segments from recipient tables.
🧪 Test emails in Flows
You can now send test emails directly from a Send Email step inside the flow builder.
Test emails use sample values for personalization tokens, so previews no longer arrive with placeholders like [Attendee Name].
🔁 Flow email stability improvements
We improved how emails created inside flows are saved and reused:
- Flow emails remain available in the selector even if they are temporarily unlinked from a step
- Creating a second email inside the same flow no longer overwrites the first one
🔗 External events
Brands with this feature enabled can now create external events from the main events grid.
Each external event lets you configure:
- Main banner or image
- Title
- Location (optional)
- One or more shows/dates
- External redirect link
In a second step of the creator you can assign team members to the event.
💡 Summary
- Real net send count before sending — Clearer visibility into how many emails will truly go out
- Safer segmentation — Blocked recipients no longer end up in new selections
- Test emails in flows — Better previews with sample personalization data
- More reliable flow emails — Emails no longer disappear from the selector or overwrite each other
- External events — New way to feature events that redirect elsewhere from the same grid
